Overcoming Estrogen Dominance

“The body has an amazing ability to heal. We just need to give it the right resources.”

In Overcoming Estrogen Dominance, my goal is to empower and give you the tools to take control of your hormones and health.

More than 70% of women experience estrogen dominance. The symptoms range from lumpy and fibrocystic breasts to thyroid nodules, hot flashes, fibroids, uterine polyps, painful, heavy or irregular periods to infertility and miscarriages, from mood swings to insomnia, weight gain to fatigue.

So many women have experienced the pain and frustration that comes when they feel their symptoms and complaints are dismissed or minimized. This is particularly true for women who are experiencing the symptoms of hormone imbalance. Even when doctors do offer treatment, it’s typically in the form of prescription medication or invasive surgical procedures.

In Overcoming Estrogen Dominance, I hope to show that those extreme interventions are often unnecessary, and to give women a roadmap to reverse estrogen dominance. You’ll find easy and healing recipes, meal plans, and natural protocols to  help rebalance your hormones.

  1. Do you know of a reliable, trustworthy source for nettle ROOT? Would a root tonic be prepared in the same manner?

    • Hi Deb,
Magdalena uses the nettle leaf in this infusion. The root does not have the same properties and is often used for prostate health. You can try Mountain Rose Herbs to find the root.
      Thanks, Angela HB Team

  2. I noticed the recipe states that the infusion should be consumed within 24 hours. How many ounces a day does Magdalena recommend drinking of the infusion?

    • Hi Maria,

If this is new to you-you can try 1/2-1 cup/per day. Since this makes more, maybe you can share it with others. ~Deanna HB Team

      • Hi there!

I started making this recipe last week and I am loving it so far. I’ve been drinking 2-3 cups almost every day since then. Is it safe to use nettle as an everyday drink or should I take breaks from it?

        Thanks!

  3. Thank you! Since it’s in season now, how do you recommend drying it for out of season times?

    • I grow my nettles in my garden every year. I pick the leaves and put them in my dehydrator at 95 degrees to keep the leaves well. After a day in the dehydrator I either store them or use them as a tea.

  4. Thanks again Magdalena

  5. Hi. Just an FYI, the link goes to spearmint, not nettles. I have a Harvestright home freeze dryer and look forward to preserving nettle this year! 😀

  6. Good morning mam. Thanks for ur useful advice. I am an Indian. So how to use it. Basically the temperature of India is different to America. Shall I plant the seeds in my garden for mY sake. How to use and how to freeze. Please key me know. Thank you shall. I buy from Amazon.

    • Hi Magy, perhaps you could google it to see whether nettle has been grown successfully in your area. The how to use is in the post, and freezing wouldn’t be necessary if you dry the nettles after harvesting.

  7. I am trying not to use amazon anymore as they still have the NRA tv show. I got a pound of nettles directly from Frontier Herbs: https://www.frontiercoop.com.

I also have raised some nettles from seed and am ready to transplant them They are so cute!

    • Why does it have to be drank within 24 hours? Does it go bad or lose its vitamins or just get stronger? Are you supposed to drink all of it within the 24 hours? I quite like it cold straight out of the fridge. Hopefully it will help my allergies. Thanks for the recipe.

  8. I have nettles growing in my yard. I do not own a dehydrator . Can I still do the tea with the leaves successfully?

  9. Greetings, Can I use the dead nettle that is all over my yard or does it have to be stinging?

    • Hi Leigh,
Yes, you can use dead nettles instead of stinging nettles.
      Health regards,

  10. I can’t tolerate quercetin because it gives me heart palpitations. Is it better to get nettles in a supplement or infusion?

    • Hi Joanna,

This would be a personal preference. Just be sure with any supplement, that you look at the full ingredients included in the formula.

      Healthy regards,
      HB team
