Brain Tea Infusion Ingredients

This tea is made with herbs that nourish the body and enhance brain power, with benefits for your clarity, forgetfulness, and mood. It harnesses the power of these herbs:

Peppermint (or spearmint): Both peppermint and spearmint have documented benefits for cognition and mood. In one study, peppermint essential oil with high levels of menthol helped the performance of participants with demanding cognitive tasks. In another study, peppermint aroma was found to enhance memory and increase alertness.

Gotu kola: Gotu kola is a medicinal plant with major benefits to your brain power. One study even found that gotu kola extract was effective in improving cognitive function after a stroke. It also can help with your mood, lowering anxiety levels and even functioning as an antidepressant for some.

Rosemary: Long hailed as a brain-boosting herb, rosemary has been used for centuries to strengthen memory and improve cognition. Rosemary helps prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine, a brain chemical that helps with concentration and memory. Rosemary is so potent, some research suggests that inhaling rosemary oil may improve brain function in adults with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

This simple brain boost tea is made by infusion, and it couldn’t be simpler to put together. Simply place your herbs in a large mason jar and pour boiling water over them. Let them steep for 20 to 30 minutes.

You can sip on this infusion throughout the week. If you find it a bit too strong, dilute it with a little water.
