Castor Oil Packs Support Your Terrain/Ecosystem So You Can HEAL

Castor oil can be one of the simplest and least expensive of all treatments. A treatment that is legendary, has been around since biblical times and, before that, goddesses, queens, and gurus used this treatment because it does something that other treatments cannot. It doesn’t just work on one thing, it has a holistic reach and multi-targeting effect on the processes of the regulatory systems.

It’s called the castor oil pack.

Castor Oil Packs and Hormones

Rebalancing hormones means keeping skin glowing, mind sharp, and body vital and energized. This is how Castor Oil Packs can help:

  • Keep stress hormone cortisol balanced, promote feel-good hormones
  • Reset the body’s cleansing mechanisms and high antioxidants
  • Keep the bowels moving – digestion, assimilation, and elimination
  • Help with progesterone production
  • Detoxify from metabolized estrogens
  • Keep inflammation low and alkalization high
  • Reset the microbiome, break down biofilm

Here’s how these humble, meek, sacred packs accomplish these goals for you.

In this video, Magdalena and I covered the historical use of castor oil and her surprising results using them.

Here are the 5 powerful ways castor oil can support your hormonal balance.

1. Castor Oil Packs Reduce Stress and Support the Adrenals

The issue with stress is that we are completely out of practice with being relaxed. The more stressed you are, the more you are robbing Peter to pay Paul. While you’re under stress you won’t be able to build your own progesterone to improve your situation.

In order to truly reengage our bodies’ vital force, the healing powers of nature so to speak, we have to adopt sacred rituals into our daily health practice that promote a relaxed state. In the same way that an Olympian trains for the Olympics, the more we practice relaxation, the more agile we become and the easier it will be for us to maintain low stress levels.

Castor oil packs are the very best health tool for this.

When you improve your ability to shift and move into the relaxed (parasympathetic) state, you get a variety of physiological benefits. Not only do you improve your immune system, but when you are in the relaxed state you digest, absorb and eliminate much better. Digestion is flawless, mainly because when relaxed, your gut mucosa is functioning at a high level. When stressed, it is leaky, the gap junctions are lost, and it loses its ability to help you accomplish your ever-important goals.

When relaxed and using the pack, the smooth touch of the pack on your skin stimulates the bonding and love hormone, oxytocin. The area of the brain that lights up is the limbic system, otherwise known as the emotional area of the brain, leaving you feeling satisfied by the fulfilling neurotransmitter, dopamine.

2. Castor Oil Packs Maximize Detoxification

To balance hormones in the body, the system must cleanse optimally. You shouldn’t only cleanse in the spring and fall, your goal should be to optimize cleansing daily to reduce your toxic load. Cleansing, otherwise known as depuration, is the ideal daily elimination of metabolites from the processing of toxins via glucuronidation, amino conjugation, sulfation, etc.

In estrogen dominance, an enzyme called beta-glucuronidase that deconjugates estrogens and allows them to recirculate in the body has been shown to be elevated. Castor oils help to lower levels of beta-glucuronidase.

Castor oil has been shown to improve levels of the ever-important cleansing molecule glutathione. Glutathione carries out toxins, byproducts of plastics, BPA (remember, don’t carry your food or oils in plastic, EVER!) and estrogens out of the body.

Since you place the pack under your right ribcage, you are exerting an anti-inflammatory effect on the liver that eases and improves its action. It’s so good for your liver that it has been shown to even reduce cholesterol and liver enzymes.

3. Castor Oil Packs Reduce Inflammation

Inflammation fans the flame of hormonal imbalances like a wildfire going out of control. Castor oil packs calm the fire, like a water helicopter dousing the flames with gallons upon gallons of water.

The majority of inflammation in our bodies is housed in the gut and intestines because they are constantly exposed to the outside world (A.K.A. food and bugs). The anti-inflammatory effect of castor oil packs is so profound that people experience a reduction in pain, mainly through the modulation of substance P. Many also note a reduction in central weight, as its cause is often abdominal inflammation. Again, daily practice is what makes a difference, this is not a one-time thing! You are working towards your greater good here.

Castor oil has also been shown to help with reducing cysts and fibroids, and significantly improving the pain associated with these. Lowering systemic inflammation is also a key strategy for reducing estrogen dominance, PCOS and adrenal issues.

4. Castor Oil Packs Move the Bowels

If you’re backed up (as in: Constipated), which many of you with hormonal problems are, you are recirculating the excess hormones that your body is trying to eliminate. It’s like taking 2 steps forward and 3 steps back, overwhelming your poor liver that has to do double duty.

Castor oil packs have shown to be as effective as laxatives because they stimulate the PGE3 receptors of smooth muscles that contract the intestines to move the junk out. They also shift electrolyte balance via stimulation of nitric oxide, a strong antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory of the gut. Castor oil packs can no longer be classified as a mere “pack”, they are an all-encompassing, health-promoting treatment that anyone can do.

As my mother used to say, better out than in. Always get the junk out.

A clean liver is key to keeping good hormonal balance.

5. Castor Oil Packs Improve the Microbiome

An unhealthy microbiome causes estrogen dominance. In fact, we have a distinct set of bacteria that is specifically responsible for estrogen metabolism, known as the estrobolome. With an unhealthy microbiome, a barrier can be built by the bad microbes to protect their existence. Just think of it like a barricade. It’s actually a glycoprotein matrix of hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans, and toxins (byproducts of bad bacteria). That barrier is known as biofilm. Castor oil is one of the best natural substances that works better in the human body than it does in a test tube to reset the microbiome. This helps you work your way to a healthier body, from gums to bums. This research was done in periodontal medicine.

Along with biofilm breakdown, castor oil packs help you to achieve hormonal balance by inhibiting fungal candida infections. Signs that you have an overgrowth of candida include: Feeling foggy or feeling like you have a hangover (when you haven’t drank any alcohol), frequent yeast or urinary tract infections, skin problems like acne, digestive upset like bloating, bad gas, constipation, and the list goes on and on.

Castor oil has been shown to stimulate the production of nitric oxide, a natural anti-aging and health-promoting molecule that inhibits yeast overgrowth. Low-dose nitric oxide stimulators like castor oil, with repeated topical application over a 7-day period will have the same effect as a high-dose nitric oxide producer. This is more support as to why it is so important to wear your pack overnight regularly to achieve the best results.

Here is video 2 of our 3-part video series I did with Magdalena – where we talk about how castor oil has helped me with chronic IBS.

How to Apply a Castor Oil Pack

The Queen of Thrones™ castor oil pack is by far the easiest way to go. A 3-step, mess-less process I created for myself (because I wasn’t going to do the traditional 12 step protocol) and my patients to comply.

What is Best Practice with the Castor Oil Pack? The Overnight Relaxation Routine

Wearing the pack for 1 hour each day will benefit your body, but if you want transformation, long-term healing, your best hormonal balance, and great poops, you need to commit more time to this practice. The ideal is to wear the Queen of the Thrones™ castor oil pack overnight, every night if you can. I know that Magdalena wears hers 7 days on and 7 days off and it’s still helping her.

The great thing is, that the time you need to commit to this practice is best done when you are sleeping! How easy is that?

When you sleep, your body switches into a relaxed state. For those of us with sleeping problems, this can be very difficult.

One of the best things about the castor oil pack is that it is like the “escape button” on your computer. When you put the Queen of the Thrones™ castor oil pack on, it switches your body into the relaxed state so that you can have a good night’s sleep. It isn’t the oil that does this, it is actually the PACK. So putting oil on your belly and throwing a t-shirt on, what has been termed the “Lazy Man Castor Oil Pack,” won’t do this, and you will lose out on 50% of the health benefits. In my opinion, this activation of relaxation is probably one of the most important parts of this health ritual. Always wear the compress.

Wearing your pack overnight is easy and essential because what I didn’t tell you is that while we sleep our bodies clean up. It is the most important time that cleansing happens in the body. Unfortunately, for many of us with hormonal problems, we have so much inflammation, unhealthy gut bacteria, lack of antioxidants, and stress. Our digestive tracts, detoxification, and cleansing functions are outright deranged that it becomes difficult to do the very natural and essential overnight clean-up.

Castor oil packs work because they support the foundation of health, improving functional problems of the gut, antioxidant status, reducing inflammation, calming stress, and resetting the microbiome.  When these problems are supported, your clean-up job is easy! Now, who doesn’t want clean-up to be easy? The reality is, that when your body cleanses well nightly, you feel much better during the day.

Don’t be surprised if you wake up in the morning and you have to poop right away. You may also experience that your stool is different, smells funny, or makes you want to run away in disgust. This can happen as you are cleaning out your insides and mucous, inflammation, toxins, and more are coming out. They can have an unpleasant odor. Also, in your gut, things do putrefy, and with this practice, they are easily eliminated.

Here are a few quick tips on how to make the best of your Castor Oil Packs:

1). Wear it daily, if you can.

Wear daily for at least 1 hour or overnight for best effect.

2). Wear over the liver (under the right rib cage).

3). Make sure to use the soft part of the compress on your skin. Pour 2 tablespoons of organic castor oil onto the pack. Please DO NOT use castor oil stored in plastic bottles (I explain why that’s so important below).

4). Pour the oil in the center of the compress and not too close to the seam – or else it may leak.

5). It’s safest to wear old PJs when wearing the pack.

6). Wear it overnight rather than for just an hour.

As easy as 1,2,3 – C.O.P!

C – Compress with soft side facing up
O – Organic oil in the middle, avoid the seams
P – Place under right ribcage, over the liver. Heat is optional and great for period pains

In this 3rd video, Magdalena and I show how to best use castor oil packs.

Why Castor Oil Should Not Be Sold in Plastic Bottles

Plastics drastically affect hormones, because many plastics mimic the chemical structure of hormones, especially estrogen. They squat on our receptors, not allowing our bodies to balance out normally. The result is hormonal havoc for those with thyroid disease or estrogen dominance problems.

Castor oil is an extremely strong binder, transferring, and a carrier oil and doesn’t discriminate between healthy molecules and toxic plastic molecules. This means that if your castor oil is housed in a plastic bottle, you are carrying molecules from the plastic into your body. Now for a woman with hormonal problems, this is absolutely devastating.

Even if your bottle is BPA-free, we now know there are many other plastic molecules that are not polymerized. They easily separate from the plastic container, especially when oil is what is filling the bottle. You can find UV filters embedded into the plastic, like benzophenones that are endocrine-disrupting. Additionally, a slip agent called nonylphenol is typically used in plastic production, as well as so many other toxic compounds that we know have a negative effect on our bodies – or we don’t know it yet, but they likely do. Our poor hormones take the brunt of these plastics.

Oils are the best carriers for plastics and toxins because their molecules are lipophilic, meaning fat-loving, and oil is purely fat. This is why it is imperative to purchase and store castor oil in a glass bottle. If you have been using plastic, throw the oil away. It is hurting you more than it is helping you. Castor oil should always, always be purchased in a glass bottle, like the high-quality Queen of the Thrones™ certified organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free, extra virgin castor oil.

Most manufacturers use plastic bottles because it is a cheaper material and the cost of shipping is lower. At Queen of the Thrones™, I refuse to compromise!

Castor Oil FAQs

I’ve tried castor oil packs in the past but didn’t feel any changes. Why?

The reason that it might not work for some people is this – to get the benefit, you need to do this health practice right. Wearing the pack for 1 hour each day will benefit your body, but if you want transformation, long-term healing, your best hormonal balance, and great poops, you need to commit more time to this practice. The ideal is to wear the Queen of the Thrones™ castor oil pack overnight, every night.

Do I have to use heat over my Castor Oil Pack?

When you use your Queen of the Thrones™ castor oil pack, heat is optional. The pack is designed to maximize and hold in your own natural body heat, without adding more. This makes these packs so easy and comfortable to do.

Heat is used in natural medicine to stimulate certain functions. Heat slows things down. If you are constipated, the last thing that you want to do is add more heat to your gut. This will slow you down even more. That being said, if you have thyroid problems and feel cold all the time, it would be smart to add extra heat to your pack just to warm up your core. When on your period, heat is very beneficial to add because it will slow down the uterine contractions that are causing cramping.

Can I use essential oils with my Castor Oil Packs?

Yes, in fact, I recommend that you dilute them with castor oil. Due to its unique molecular weight, it is the best oil to transport molecules into the dermis. This is where all of your blood and lymph vessels are, the transportation highways of the body. In other words – the healing constituents of the essential oils will get in faster and deeper into your body.

Can I do Castor Oil Packs when on my period?

People have often said to not wear the pack during their period for fear of bleeding too heavily. This is very important for women with hormonal problems. Especially if they have menorrhagia, which is very heavy bleeding with periods, or dysmenorrhea, painful periods with abdominal cramps.

Castor oil packs don’t make you bleed more, they help clear the uterine lining that needs to come out of the body. This can mean that doing your castor oil pack can shorten the duration of your period. For some, this is welcomed, especially if going on a beach vacation and you’d like it to be done quickly.

Castor oil packs can even help with your cramping. Just make sure, in this case, to add an external source of heat like a hot water bottle, which will make it more comfortable. They stimulate the smooth muscles of the digestive tract and the uterus. Have you ever noticed that you may poo more right before and during your periods? That is because the same hormones and messengers of the body stimulate your digestive tract to move, and your uterus to expel the blood!

How will I feel when doing a Castor Oil Pack?

You feel calm, some people say they feel the “LOVE.” This is likely because wearing a pack stimulates dopamine, our “feel good” neurotransmitter, and oxytocin, the “love and attachment hormone.” You may sleep incredibly well because the castor oil pack relaxes your body; it switches you into a relaxed state. If you are using the pack for abdominal pain, you will find that in most cases the pain dissipates quite rapidly.

After wearing the pack in the evening, most people experience a flatter stomach in the morning, bloating is gone, and they feel energized. These are the reasons it’s common practice to do castor oil packs daily (or nightly).

Where on my body do I place the Castor Oil Pack?

The most common placement of the castor oil pack is on the liver, underneath the right ribcage. This area covers many of the digestive organs, including the stomach, the pancreas, the small intestine, large intestine, adrenals, and kidneys. This also includes the omentum and all the many lymph nodes located in this area.

Sometimes, castor oil packs are used locally for pain or for specific treatments such as ovarian cysts, fibroids, hip pain, and joint pains of all types. In these cases, it’s still beneficial to place it on your liver, but on alternating days it should be placed locally on the area.

Patients with thyroid nodules can place the Castor Oil Pack at the bottom of their throat where the thyroid is located. The compress might be a little large, in which case I recommend getting my Beauty Sleep Eye Kit which contains an eye compress.

How to wash my Castor Oil Pack?

Washing your castor oil pack is quite easy. Ideally, your goal is to not wash it, instead –  in your daily use, be careful to keep the oil in the middle of the pack, away from the seams.

If you wish to wash the pack:

  1. Soak it overnight in a bowl in a mixture of hot water, baking soda, and natural dish soap.
  2. In the morning, hand wash with hot water and natural dish soap, wring it out very well.
  3. Take an old tea towel (that you don’t mind ruining) and lay the outer layer of the pack against it. Roll the pack up in the tea towel, blotting out the oil until there is little oily residue left on the outer layer.
  4. Hang to dry.

Does castor oil go rancid?

Castor oil is unique to all vegetable oils because it has an incredibly long shelf life and does not go rancid. This is due to its chemical structure. Castor oil has an alcohol group on its twelfth carbon, on the ricinoleic acid (the main component of the oil). This prevents it from going rancid.

Can I share my Castor Oil Pack?

Please don’t share your castor oil pack, it is like sharing underwear. It’s a very individual thing. We don’t know exactly if castor oil is transferred back out of the skin onto your pack, but knowing this oil, there is a high likelihood that it does. Since castor oil is a carrier oil, it carries things in and out of the body, and if you share your pack, you could potentially be sharing toxins and things that you don’t want to give away.

Who should not use Castor Oil Packs?

Pregnant women.

    • the NO/ONOO vicious cycle is a reaction of two free radicals in the body nitric oxide with superoxdide to form peroxynitre which produces oxidative stress….u mentioned in one of your online fb live that castor oil pacts are good as they produce nitric oxide, so is this good for someone who has this vicious cycle issue as in MCS and EHS?

      • Hi Maria, that is a great question. For the best answer, please contact Dr Marisol’s team at: [email protected] and let them know that Magdalena sent you. They will be able to answer any concerns you may have about the pack.

      • would love to hear the response to this as well as how voltage-gated calcium chanels might be beneficially influenced – we need a lot of focus on mitigating EHS and EMFs at this time

      • I would love to know the answer to this too (regarding the NO/ONOO vicious cycle). Thanks!

    • Hi Jennifer, Here are a couple of tips from Dr. Marisol:

Do I Have to Wash My Pack?

If you are careful to keep the oil in the center of the compress, avoiding the seems, then there is no need to wash the pack. According to Edgar Cayce, the bedside healer who popularized the treatment in the early 1900s, castor oil packs were never to be washed.

If you keep the castor oil in the center of the Queen of the Thrones™ castor oil pack, this will avoid the need to have to wash it.

We recommend after a period of about three months, to replace the pack and start new.

    • No, but I was wondering how bad the cotton shrinks. If it wasn’t pre-shrunk prior to making it, then the cotton will shrink and pucker where it’s sewn to the shiny fabric, making it an uncomfortable, puckered mess. Can you tell us if this happened when you washed it?

    • Hi Cendrine, I found this in FAQ’s on Dr. Marisol’s site:

“The most common placement of the castor oil pack is on the liver, underneath the right ribcage.

Or, even more, the idea is to do both at the same time.”

  6. I purchased and used the pack. Then I tried to wash with the given instructions and the shiny side of pack became so oily I had to throw it out. So disappointed

    • Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, Ann, Here are a couple of tips from Dr.

      ===============================

10- How to Wash my Castor Oil Pack?

Washing your castor oil pack is quite easy. Ideally, your goal is to not wash it, instead of being careful to keep the oil in the middle of the pack, away from the seams.

If you wish to wash the pack:

Soak overnight in a bowl in a mixture of hot water, baking soda, and natural dish soap
In the morning, hand wash with hot water and natural dish soap, wring it out very well
Take an old tea towel (that you don’t mind ruining) and lay the outer layer of the pack against it. Roll the pack up in the tea towel, blotting out the oil until there is little oily residue left on the outer layer
      Hang to dry

      I hope this helps!

        • Hey A,

I enjoy using Dr. Bronners unscented soap but their are many options in the market for natural soap that you could try (just make sure to read ingredients lists).

  7. I’m not sure if it matters if you don’t ship to Australia but, I wonder if this is safe for those of us whose electrolytes fluctuate greatly. Seems I am very sensitive to natural remedies too.

  8. How can I buy the eye kit without buying a second bottle of oil? I want to buy the castor oil pack and eye mask and brush. Don’t want 2 bottles of oil

  9. Can your castor oil for the face be used all over the face to alleviate wrinkles and soften skin? I have thinning hair due to thyroid and/or hormone imbalance, will the stomach pack really help with this? No gut health issues at this point.

  10. I’ve been having itching during night treatments. Is this an allergy or the pack working?

    • Hi Connie, This was advised by Dr Marisol: “As with anything, and in rare cases with castor oil, you can have a hypersensitivity reaction to the oil when putting on the skin[38] [39]. Typically this would present as a rash on the skin on the area where the castor oil was applied.

Should this occur, cease treatment. Skin reaction should dissipate after 24hours,”

  12. When i first started using the packs, i slept through the night for 3-4 days. I cut back on the oil because it seemed so saturated and now i am not sleeping. I also had a very bad stressful emotional situation 2 days ago which i think really affected my adrenals. I should use 2 T per night even if the pack seems saturated? Also, should i use more when I’ve had a bad stressful situation ???

    • 4 consecutive days a week, then 3 days rest, best to use before ovulation, after your period. Do not use during period or during pregnancy. Leave the castor oil pack on for 1 hour.

  13. Great post, thank you😀. I have got some castor oil and pack but never know how to use it for full benefits. I look forward to using it properly

  14. I read on this page that this oil help
with Hormonal Problems, like Estrogen Dominance , fibrocystic breasts .
Are there publications on the subject, study, books. Can you provide resources ? where do you get this information from?
I have many cysts on my breasts And I’m afraid that doing oil compresses on my breasts may raise estrogen levels . Does this oil reduce or rise estrogen levels?

    • Hi Magdalena Maria, this article was written by Magdalena’s friend and colleague, Dr. Marisol. She would be the best person to ask for additional resources. I know she learned about all the benefits when getting her Naturopathic Medicine Degree. Here is her email address if you are interested in learning more: [email protected]

    • I’ve been told that originally castor oil packs were meant to be used then thrown out afterwards, and not to be reused, because all your toxins are on it…and if you reuse it, you could be mixing all the toxins back into the body. Any thoughts on that?

    • Hi Jamie,

Not that much is used when applying a castor oil pack. So, this bottle lasts for quite some time. Plus, this is organic, pure, cold-pressed, hexane free, and in the glass bottle-all important factors. It really is a an excellent value for that quality of oil. Please keep in mind-it helps to cleanse the body so we do not want to put dangerous chemicals in-we want to pull them out. We hope you check it out. ~HB Team

  15. I was wondering if I would be able to use it. I just had my gallbladder out but would still like to get my liver and bowels healthy. Do I still put it under my ribs. Also, I was under the impression that we needed to apply heat over the pack as well. Is that not true.
And how long do I use it for. Is it 7 days on and 7 days off forever?
Thank you so much for this information.

    • Hi Patti,

Here is a response from Queen of Thrones, regarding castor oil and breastfeeding.

“Our castor oil packs are safe to use during breastfeeding. The only contraindication with castor oil packs is during pregnancy, and this is only because the oral consumption of castor oil has been shown to possibly stimulate smooth muscle contractions of the uterus. It is not known if the castor oil pack practice does the same thing, but just in case, we advise against it.

Castor oil packs help improve flow in the body, so they would actually be a wonderful compliment to your health practice while you are breastfeeding. The very best binder is oil because toxins are lipophilic (fat-loving) so castor oil is a natural binder, plus it provides glutathione and antioxidant support via vitamin e, omega 6, omega 9 and nitric oxide. Because of the calming effect on the nervous system and the reduction of inflammation via the same pathway as fish oils, your ability to cleanse is enhanced so toxins will be moved out of the body better via detox.

However, we do not recommend using it directly on your breast while breast feeding without making sure that your breast is free of any oil or residue, as you do not want your baby to ingest any of the castor oil and we do not recommend ingesting it yourself while you are breast feeding.”

      Hope this helps,
      -Taylor, HB team

    • Hi Heather,

Per Queen of Thrones, it is perfectly safe to use castor oil with an IUD.

  16. No supplemental heat is used? I thought heat was needed so that the oil would penetrate into the skin.

    • That’s what I’ve read 0n every other site having to do with castor oil – that the heat helps the oil penetrate

    • The outer PUL layer of the Queen of Thrones packs hold in our natural body heat very well, so additional heat is not required. Heat is often used as a modality in natural medicine to slow things down, making it great for cases of diarrhea and cramping, but not always ideal in cases of constipation. So adding a hot water bottle over your pack is optional but not necessary.

      Healthy Regards,
      HB Team

  17. Use what essential oils please diluted in the castor oil?

    Wanting to try overnight.

    Thanks

    • There are many fantastic essential oils that can diluted in castor oil. Of course, always be careful with dosages and quality when using essential oils and it is perhaps a good idea to consult with your healthcare provider or a clinical herbalist, to find which ones will work best for you.

      Healthy Regards,
      Hb Team

    • Using the castor oil pack with infrared sauna use is perfectly fine, however it is important to note that it may absorb excess sweat and likely need to be washed more often which may decrease the lifecycle of the pack.

    • I found this video and the information provided most helpful. Thank you very much. For myself, I need one question answered straight forwardly – unfortunately since menopause I unfortunately have gotten a huge amount of sight around my middle – will it be helpful with that?

I guess a 2nd question, I am also in Canada. Is there a way of purchasing this package here in CDN$ and will perhaps cost less shipping? ( I have definitely decided to place an order.)

    • I’m just seeing this July 16 but special ended in February….should there be an update special since you’re replaying this?

      • Thanks for pointing this out, Nancy. It has been updated with the new information and date. 🙂

  19. unfortunately my questions I posted yesterday did not seem to be answered. I was querying about ordering in CDN $ and as well confirming it would help with weight loss. I see you have responded to several people inquiring about ordering from Australia, do I follow the same link>Thank you.

    • HI Heather,
thank you for your question. I’m not sure where you submitted them but feel free to send us an email at [email protected] for any question you may have. As for shipping to Australia, we do not ship internationally at this time. We do suggest using MyUS.com for international shipping as some of our customers have had success with them. Hope this helps.

  20. Hi,
Will this still work effectively if you don’t have a gall bladder and have Gilbert’s syndrome?

  21. Hi! So I have been doing the castor oil pack for aviut 2 weeks now. So far things have been seeming to be going fine.
The last couple of days I noticed my poop has been solid and streaked with a lighter color. And then today it was the same color and solid, but when I wiped it was dark forest green! I have not eaten anything with chlorophyll in it, or any blueberries, which can usually give that green color.
Is this cause for concern, or is this normal?

  22. Hi Noel, I’m not sure how often you are using the castor oil packs, but this can start to happen for a couple reasons. One can be that things are starting to move through quickly and more efficiently. through the digestive tract. The faster things move the more you may see bile in the stool giving it that lighter or green color. The second reason could be that the gallbladder may be emptying more often and causing the green color as castor oil packs can improve not only liver function but increase gallbladder function and emptying. Try doing the castor oil pack less frequently and see how that effects your bowel movements. If it continues even after, talk to your functional medicine practitioner.
    Healthy regards,
    HB Team

  23. Hey There!!

I’m a bit worried…I’ve been applying caster oil (from a plastic bottle) to the scar from a lumpectomy I had performed last spring.

I’ve thrown the bottle out and replaced it with caster oil in a glass bottle.

Used is sporadically on the scar…now I’m worried I’ve introduced toxins to my breast tissue and lymph system.

    Ugh!!

    Thoughts??

  24. Does these packs help hormone issues for over 60 year old females? Are they helpful for older people?

  25. Hello! I have lipedema. Do you think the packs would be helpful in reducing some of the fluids and adipose fat tissue stored up in my legs?

  26. I’m post menopause and put caster pull in belly.butt on foot 3 days, I’m now having a period, I’m really worried as 2 years ago I bled a year after menopause , I had a scan and my uterus lining was thickened however bleeding stopped and I’ve been ok ever since up until now.
